Getting Started!

Well, we started preparing food the minute we dumped our bags. The kids hit it off right away and it was a pretty packed day. Sunshine had our first day planned out and food waiting that Alex and Austin were already familiar with so it was very easy. It is now 10pm and I am thinking I am running on adrenaline. Alex tried 2 new foods today. One was a prepared coconut caramel cookie that had several ingredients. Alex eats singular foods and does not try anything so I am very hopeful that we will widen his food repertoire. We made strawberry creamsicle smoothies, chocolate macaroons, french vanilla ice cream, funky corn chips, chocolate pudding, balsamic Dijon salad dressing and of course the coconut caramel cookies. These were all, with the exception of the salad dressing, 100% raw and soooo yummy! That is all for tonight because I need to go get the Austin boy in bed- that guy does not go down without a fight. I will have more tomorrow, we are going to do the weekly shopping and it sounds like we will be at it all day. We are going to an outdoor market and that should be an experience. Will let you know what that is like.

Hi Julia again, I don't know if you got my first message because I didn't realize I needed an account to reply. But, if you didn't get it, I will say it again.

I'm sorry to hear about the problem you had getting thru security in Reno. Most people realize that the security in the airports are not fit for the security of our county let alone helping a family thru securtiy with needs.
Anyway, it sounds like you are staying with a teriffic family. I can't wait to read more.
Love you baby, Pete

Hi Julia!
Ok, I had tears in my eyes when I read about the security issue. You are such a good mom so keep your spirits up. I am so happy that you are doing the immersion into raw foods. We'll have another all day ALL RAW FOODS class on the 28th before I go so you'll have a huge repertoire! Tell Aaron I said good job in handling the situation.
Love ya!
